AlphaCard ID Suite Business Server is specially designed for organizations that use multiple work stations to design and print ID cards from a central location.

The Business Server software is installed on a network server, and then the software can be installed on an unlimited number of computers (but can only be active on five computers simultaneously).

The Business Server software edition is recommended for organizations that need two or more users to access the card software simultaneously.

For example, if you need to print ID badges for visitors and new employees and the front desk takes their information, security takes their photo, and another employee prints their badge and all three users need to access the software and database at the same time throughout the day, Business Server will help you streamline the work process.

Business Server is only available for the Standard, Professional, and Elite editions. To purchase Business Server, first select one of the base AlphaCard ID Suite editions:

• AlphaCard ID Suite Standard – designed for medium to large organizations printing basic, secure cards
• AlphaCard ID Suite Professional – gives you more flexibility connecting external databases with MS SQL, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle, ODBC/OLE connectivity
• AlphaCard ID Suite Elite – advanced security features and the ability to connect multiple external databases

AlphaCard ID Suite Business Server comes with five licenses. The Business Server edition allows the software to be installed on an unlimited number of computers and used on five computers concurrently. Additional licenses can be purchased in bundles of five to allow the software to be used simultaneously on more than five computers.

When using the Business Server, users can either share one central database with all the cardholder information or have individual databases saved locally on each computer.

If you do not need multiple users to access the software at the same time, but do need to move the software from user to user, consider purchasing a Standard, Professional, or Elite edition of AlphaCard ID Suite and adding the Secure USB Key.

System Requirements

AlphaCard ID Suite Business Server is compatible with all PVC card printers. AlphaCard ID Suite is not currently supported on Tablets or Surfaces. Please call with questions regarding compatibility with any hardware platforms not mentioned here.

32 or 64 bit Windows Operating System (Windows 7, 8, 10), Server Operating System (Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012). Explorer 6 or higher, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or higher, dual core processor, 1 GB of free internal memory (32 bit) or 2 GB of free internal memory (64 bit), 200 MB of free disk space, and an internet connection for automatic activation and online help files.
