SEO Specialist & Copywriter

AlphaCard, a leading B2B eCommerce company, is looking for a full-time SEO Specialist & Copywriter in our Portland office to drive results across a portfolio of websites. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who is extremely detail oriented and driven to succeed.

This is a full time, on-site position.

Responsibilities:

• Drive content strategy, closely aligning with business goals
• Write and optimize copy for website landing pages, paid search ads, marketing projects, case studies, and email campaigns
• Develop and execute SEO strategies to increase organic search traffic
• Coordinate with external SEO agency to prioritize and execute objectives identified during audits
• Identify SEO issues and opportunities; implement fixes and updates using current best practices
• Optimize website content architecture; test and measure benefits of structured data with Schema.org standards
• Perform ongoing keyword discovery, mapping and optimization
• Research, track and analyze competitive landscape
• Develop and implement an inbound link building strategy
• Improve Search Engine bot crawls (by fixing errors, managing redirects, troubleshoot technical issues, etc.)
• Work intimately with SEO tools including, but not limited to Google Analytics & Google Search Console, Moz, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog
• Effectively measure & report on campaign results to management

Qualifications & Experience:

• 2 to 5+ years of experience in copywriting
• 1-3+ years' experience with SEO
• Excels at writing marketing & sales copy
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices
• Experience with Google and Bing’s services, including Analytics and Webmaster Tools
• Understanding of technical SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related concepts
• A basic understanding of HTML and CSS preferred
• Experience with keyword research & mapping
• Ability to work within a team and independently
• Excellent attention to detail, organization & time management
• Demonstrated ability to seamlessly juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
